Our March Muse this month is the ebullient Sophie Liquorish, Associate at Connect Corporate Finance.
Sophie helps trade clients to implement their non-organic growth strategies, by sourcing off-market opportunities aligned with their acquisition remit.

Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Sophie Liquorish. I’m an Associate at Connect Corporate Finance and I offer deal origination services to the Recruitment & Logistics markets.
I help trade clients to implement their non-organic growth strategies, by sourcing off-market opportunities aligned with their acquisition remit.
What do you love most about what you do?
Speaking to business owners across different markets internationally, to understand the different hurdles they have experienced. I enjoy becoming embedded within a client's organisation and having direct involvement in shaping their long-term growth strategy.
And what are the biggest challenges with what you do?
Naturally, some of the owners we are trying to reach are either very busy or receive inbound approaches frequently which can be misinterpreted as a fishing expedition. It is sometimes difficult to distinguish our prospect and reinforce that it is a genuine approach on behalf of a serious client.
Why did you join March?
Initially joined for the networking opportunities but actually the benefits of the network are two fold. It really is an inclusive space for women in M&A to celebrate each other's achievements / mentor each other.
What are you celebrating?
I was promoted to Associate last year!
