March Women members are proud, not grateful.
Last week we hosted a private art exhibition, curated by the wonderful SOTA Marketplace, an ethical online art gallery, celebrating all things women and power.
Bespoke to March Women, this was a show of 15 pieces created by women artists, showcasing what “power” means to each of them.
Two of our three drinks sponsors – Laylo and Thomson & Scott Noughty Premium Non-Alcoholic Wine – are female-founded.
And there is a strong female team at 3rd sponsor Coates & Seely.
We were lucky enough to be joined by a number of the artists – including Caitlin Flood-Molyneux, Kasia Sifantus and Annie Ashwell – and Caitlin also gave us a talk about their unconventional journey from a Welsh working class background to becoming a full-time working artist.
“I’m not grateful, I’m proud” was the powerful battlecry which resonated with so many on the night.
We have worked hard, beyond hard, for our achievements and successes.
But on International Women's Day 2024 we reflect that there is still much to be done and we're playing our part in it, transforming the dealmaking landscape for women in M&A day by day. And have fun whilst doing so!
A number of the pieces are still for sale, starting from around £200. So in the true March Women spirit of “actions, not words” we encourage you to take a look at the online catalogue - March Women & SOTA Event.pdf - and support these fabulous artists by purchasing an artwork.
